What Dreamstime Taught Me...

When first time I joined Dreamstime and uploaded the photos I've took which I thought I did an awesome job with them, just rejected one and other. Not a single photo I've took is accepted. I was almost give up...

But a line on a book I've read inspired me and I decided to be very persistent about it. The line was that; "A BURNING DESIRE TO BE, AND TO DO is the starting point from which the dreamer must take off. Dreams are not born of indifference, laziness, or lack of ambition."

That line fired the idea of uploading my illustration works for a start. I was doing them over years for print - since 2005 I think. And print sales are not so good - well actually there's really really few, like $50 after 2-3 years through some very famous and well known print selling sites. I took them off from online print stores and started to upload here as stock images.

Dreamstime staff liked them I guess so they started to approve. That boosted me a lot. While working on more illustrations I also started to research on how to take sharp photos. I learned that with my humble Nikon D90 and 50mm nifty fifty, its possible to take sharp photos! I was really happy that day that I don't have to pay more for a lens. Learned what sweet spots are and how to use day light and flash light. And my PHOTOS also started to get approved!

Dreamstime taught me to use my camera properly. Taking professional looking photos with it! Every rejection is like a successfully finished class.

If you look it that way and learn from every fail, success comes almost by itself! Of course with a goal, persistence, and specialized knowledge.

Thank you for taking time to read!
