Sort of sarcastic title but this was taken with my Nokia N70 cell phone in 2008. This is famous Bağdat Avenue of Istanbul city of the country Turkey during rain. Market and people weren't taken over with smartphone madness yet and people just walking without burying their faces to a screen on their hands and they were just enjoying the view. Brokedown Palace

I was out looking for something interesting in the small town I'm living and my father's Olympus E510 with 40-150mm lens was on my side. I'm totally impressed with the dynamic range and image stabilization performance because practically this light wasn't there at all - at least not on the level that my eyes can see. But result from the RAW file turned out great. Shot with following settings: F/5.6 + 1/13 + EV: -0,3 + ISO100. I hope you enjoy - thanks for looking; please visit my profile for more of my work.

Stay Away From The Photographers

Stay away from the photographers who removing your wrinkles and smooth your skin. There's nothing wrong with you -- therefore nothing to "fix" -- Lines on your face means that you are living. Each and everyone of them symbolizes an experience. All the lines and marks on your face and your body are your tiger stripes you earned. Don't let anyone erase them.

Stay away from the people who trying to make you feel ashamed because of your age. Since they are ignorant and superficial -- and they have nothing to offer in a friendship. Everyone will pass through the same numbers that people call "age" and their attitude and experiences will be different. People who underestimate others because of a certain number will not be in a good condition when their time comes.

You will be as good as the major thoughts that dominating your mind.

These are my thoughts and my mental attitude.

Ceremonies and children’s festivals take place in Turkey on National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, held on April 23 each year. Turkey officially celebrated Grand National Assembly Day on April 23th and held a children’s week starting on that day, from 1923–1934. The Turkish government then combined the two events into National Sovereignty and Children’s Day in 1935. Turkish Radio and Television Foundation has been organizing international children’s festivals, held during the week of April 23, since 1979. Landscape Photography With 50mm Lens

Here are a few selections from the shots I've taken in the countryside of the Marmara region of Turkey - particularly in Tesvikiye village.

I strictly used my humble 50mm F/1.8D lens for every shot - I only had that one lens and one camera body with me.

I think that focal forces you to be much more creative also able to capture a lot of detail with a lot of fine sharpness that detailed natural environments deserve. I carried less so I didn't get much tired after a lot of hike and was able to capture some nice moments the countryside. For more of my work please follow me on G+ or Twitter.

My Metropolis Allover

After musician Gary Mitchell connected me through my twitter I decided - for the first time - to reverse search this particular Metropolis work of mine. Mitchell gave me a link to my own image that is used as a cover photo on a ComicVine profile and asked my permission to use it on his music video. I said I'd be okay with it if he kindly give me credit and we had a deal on it.

Meanwhile on my reverse image search I discovered that this image of mine used in SO many Superman related blogs I couldn't believe it. Every discussion on the forums about related comics, blog articles about movie adaptations from classics to most recent ones, games to fan-fiction stories - whenever anyone need to picture Metropolis they posted my image. It is very much flattering. And what I truly appreciated about all this is everyone who used this work of mine on their blogs, forum posts and articles DIDN'T cropped out my signature - they respectfully kept it.

This is especially means lot to me because I've struggled for a almost week lately with Turkish groups on Facebook which are simply downloaded my images from a local photography group, cropped out my signature and shared them like they are their own. For years I fought thieves in certain art sites (mostly in DeviantArt) using my work like their own without permission which is another story. But as far as I've seen the comic communities certainly have respect to labor of love - more than people in my country, more than the people on art communities which is something to think about when choosing the audience that you going to share your work with.

I've worked on four videos and El Dorado is one of them - most intense one that features my digital paintings from start to finish which are animated by a wonderful artist Johnny Wilson. Please have a look and enjoy the wonderful music.

Why Street Photography Is Pointless

Why street photography is pointless - at least to me? Because street photography was much more meaningful and being a street photographer was something important back then in between 1930 - 1980s. Because there wasn't a selfie-apocalypse and everything you shot was something special and unique. Today when you take a picture of someone in the street they yell at you saying "don't take my picture!" while they sharing extremely cheap shots of their duck faces on toilet mirrors, tanned legs on the beach or high angle cleavage views.

Today everyone has a camera on their phone and they believe their cheap shots are great and phone camera is good - they believe "its not that hard" to take good pictures just because they have access to a camera through their phones and "likes" they getting in ignorant social media environments.

Today, people simply lost their ability to appreciate a finely composed, sharp and detailed, both technically good and meaningful, beautiful picture. Just because they have a camera on their phone they think they know the photography as an art form - even though they no idea about it.
