Folk Dance Group

Ceremonies and children’s festivals take place in Turkey on National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, held on April 23 each year. Turkey officially celebrated Grand National Assembly Day on April 23th and held a children’s week starting on that day, from 1923–1934. The Turkish government then combined the two events into National Sovereignty and Children’s Day in 1935. Turkish Radio and Television Foundation has been organizing international children’s festivals, held during the week of April 23, since 1979. Night Customers

Ladies on a shop that sells lady related stuff - I'm pretty sure the staff themselves also amazed by the amount of customers in the late evening time in a summer town that is much less crowded during winter and fall seasons. I was at the street while shooting this picture. I hope you enjoy & thanks for looking - please have a visit to my profile for more of my work.

Caught In The Middle

While I was shooting the interior of the store from outside in the street (yes I was in the street) a little boy popped up from nowhere and get caught in the middle of the shot. This is my personal favorite from that evening. I hope you enjoy & thanks for looking - please visit my profile for more of my work.

Landscape Photography With 50mm Lens

Here are a few selections from the shots I've taken in the countryside of the Marmara region of Turkey - particularly in Tesvikiye village.

I strictly used my humble 50mm F/1.8D lens for every shot - I only had that one lens and one camera body with me.

I think that focal forces you to be much more creative also able to capture a lot of detail with a lot of fine sharpness that detailed natural environments deserve. I carried less so I didn't get much tired after a lot of hike and was able to capture some nice moments the countryside. For more of my work please follow me on G+ or Twitter.

My Metropolis Allover

After musician Gary Mitchell connected me through my twitter I decided - for the first time - to reverse search this particular Metropolis work of mine. Mitchell gave me a link to my own image that is used as a cover photo on a ComicVine profile and asked my permission to use it on his music video. I said I'd be okay with it if he kindly give me credit and we had a deal on it.

Meanwhile on my reverse image search I discovered that this image of mine used in SO many Superman related blogs I couldn't believe it. Every discussion on the forums about related comics, blog articles about movie adaptations from classics to most recent ones, games to fan-fiction stories - whenever anyone need to picture Metropolis they posted my image. It is very much flattering. And what I truly appreciated about all this is everyone who used this work of mine on their blogs, forum posts and articles DIDN'T cropped out my signature - they respectfully kept it.

This is especially means lot to me because I've struggled for a almost week lately with Turkish groups on Facebook which are simply downloaded my images from a local photography group, cropped out my signature and shared them like they are their own. For years I fought thieves in certain art sites (mostly in DeviantArt) using my work like their own without permission which is another story. But as far as I've seen the comic communities certainly have respect to labor of love - more than people in my country, more than the people on art communities which is something to think about when choosing the audience that you going to share your work with.
