I do know Miriam Stockley as the voice of Adiemus and I'm sure many people do too. She's the one who giving life to the wonderful melodies of Karl Jenkins. Her African roots giving an amazing spirit and energy to her brilliant voice and these are enough to make her one of the most haunting female voices out there. Her solo album Miriam features fascinating melodies and a beautiful cover from Peter Gabriel called Mercy Street.

Exciting News From The Past
2002 - 2004

Finally I made up my mind and decided to put everything together here. I was installed a blog for it but backing up a blog could be problem for me - good old html is spam free and safe :)

As you may know music is my biggest source of inspiration. Especially Celtic music have a special place in my heart & my life. When I created a nice image I always try to find a way to write the musician who inspired me on my work. They all have beautiful hearts always honoring me with their kind & heartening words. But some of them also made me extremely happy with the gifts they sent. What can be more beautiful than their music as a gift ?

Moya Brennan

I was fortunate enough to meet her in person! And she's so charismatic and fascinating person. I was there to help two friends from a local radio for their interview. Unfortunately I lost contact with my friends and there's no photo of this event. BUT I was lucky enough to ask Moya Brennan to sign my album!

Rosheen

When I joined celticcafe.com mailing list - Lynn Vallieres of Rosheen found me there. And they are the first band who asked me to design a cover for their next album. This was really exciting and heartening for me. Besides Lynn was so kind to send her personal copy of their successful debut album Musique Celtique with her signature inside of it!

Rua

Gloria Mulhall & Liz Madden are two angels to creating a beautiful and haunting music under the name Rua. I fascinated by their melodies since very first time I heard their wonderful music. And I was sending e-mails to them almost every day! It's impossible to find their albums on my country, also impossible for me to purchase through the internet in those days. One day I plucked up my courage and ask them to send me for free as a gift!!! Today I'm so glad that I did. Because they are so beautiful and so kind ladies - they went to their record company to sign the albums before sending me!

Kila

I found myself so fortunate about discovering Kila. Which a band who creating the most mind provoking music in the world. Also lucky enough to found their Mind The Gap & Tog E Go Bog E albums on a local music store. When I heard Glanfaidh Me from LunaPark album I sent an e-mail to the band. After the while Colm O Snodaigh of Kila replied my e-mail and sent me a copy of Luna Park and Ronan O Snodaigh's solo album!

Karin Leitner

Karin Leitner is one of the most important and successful musicians of Austria. With the benefit of having the legacy of Mozart - Karin is able to create beautiful melodies with influences of both classical, New Age and Celtic music. Karin found me on Secret Garden's Offical Web Site - because I have a link back to my site there which always be a great honor for me - and kindly asked for logo and album cover designs. We do beautiful works together like album covers and concert promo posters - you can see most of them on my portfolio.

Karin give three wonderful albums to me as gift! Her Duo Medici with Duccio Lombardi, Castle Music with Danielle Perrett and Ancient Waves of Bhakti Tribe featuring her flute performance.

And She kindly invited me to her concert in Austria Culture Forum here on Istanbul. Her performance was top notch of course. It will always be a wonderful memory to me.

Jarah Jane
May 08 - 2008

Singer songwriter. Born in Fort Kent, Maine, USA. Raised in Montreal. Her music reflects who she really is. Sometimes soft and sometimes rough! She has a few ounces of Holly McNarland and a spoonful of Sheryl Crow, but the guitar style adds just the right amount of Ani Difranco. To top it off, a dash of Joni Mitchell for desert! Jarah loves music so much that there is just a little of everyone in her but leaving a great big place for her own recipe.

Frank Borell
April 30 - 2008

Frank Borell is certainly is a great source of inspiration for me lately with his fascinating music. You can see his influence on Journey to Eternity and Wake Up In Paradise.

Here is a quote about him from his official myspace page; “Frank Borell is one of the well known chill german producers and famous and popular for his mystic chillsound. His projects “Frank Borell, Dreamscape, Mahoroba and Airstream” has become cult status at compilations like Dubai Chill Lounge, Ibiza chill Session, Lounge del Mare, Island of chill and many more. For the fans of “Frank Borell” Manifold Music is now releasing his special album “Mystic Ibiza Cafe”. Mystic and hipnotic sounds invites the chillers to dream with weightless feeling! Frank Borell is at the moment at the compilation ” Island of Chill Vol.1 with his track “well feeling@st.tropez” number 1 in the iTunes Charts (Electronic)”

I currently have Frank Borell’s Mystic Ibiza Cafe album. And I can easily say that all songs are stunning and best of it’s kind. I can suggest it to everyone so do not miss it!

CG Society Uplift Universe Challenge
April 25 - 2008

I decided to enter the Uplift Universe Challenge on CGTalk.com - based on top selling sci-fi books of David Brin. I’m on the Image Category and entered as an individual (of course!). Here you can see the work I’ve done so far: Uplift Universe Entry: Islands Of Memories

Here are some quote info about his work for those who interested;

“Brin starts with the plausible notion that people may start genetically altering dolphins and chimpanzees, giving those bright animals the final boost they need to become our peers and partners. In his debut work, Sundiver (1980), Brin depicted all three of Earth’s sapient races discovering that an ancient and powerful interstellar civilization has been doing the same thing for a very long time. Following an ancient prescription, each starfaring clan in the Civilization of Five Galaxies looks for promising newcomers to “uplift.” In return for this favor, the new client species owes its patron a period of service, then starts looking for someone else — some new and promising species — to pass on the gift of intelligence.

It all sounds very altruistic… at first sight. But alas, this magnificent galactic tradiion conceals layer after layer of ominous secrets for readers to peel away in subsequent stories. Startide Rising (1983) and The Uplift War (1987) — both winners of the Hugo Award for best novel — depict shock waves rocking Galactic society when a humble earthship, Streaker — staffed by a hundred neo-dolphins and a few human beings — tumbles across clues to a billion-year old conspiracy.”

David Arkenstone's Myths & Legends
2007 - 07 - 03
Read my Myths & Legends Chronicle here. And do not miss the phenomenal new release of the genius David Arkenstone. I'm a long time fan of him since first time I heard his music. Also I was sharing my 3D stuff with him and one day he e-mailed me back with asking to work on the visual elements for his new album. It was the most amazing moments in my life becase I got the chance to work with my idol. He had specific ideas for the El Dorado video and I made some basic drawings to a paper for a start. Also I already have some scenes waiting for final renders created with the inspiration of his wonderful music and I send the previews of those too. And we decided to make 25-30 images with layers. Then we can project those layers to some base meshes to animate. My computers wasn't good enough for making Full HD animations. Gladly David's cool friend Johnny Wilson helped big time. Read more...
